ICAEW – Benchmark qualification

ICAEW is the premier accountancy body in the UK, supporting over 138,000 chartered accountants around the world. They develop and support individuals, organisations and communities to help them achieve long-term, sustainable economic value.

ICAEW is sponsoring an Exclusive scholarship programme (ESP) for limited number of participants to join its ACA programme in India. The ESP will apply to the ICAEW Advanced Stage Technical Integration exams - Business Reporting and Business Change, which are the pre-cursor papers to the Advanced Case Study. Whilst those who have over 2 years of experience are exempt from these papers, it has been widely recognised that strong skills gained here lead to a much higher pass rate of the Advanced Case Study.

This programme will run in Delhi and Mumbai with a total of 40 places available in each city. The scholarship covers 80% of the fees for the programme.

It is important that you commit to the programme if you are selected. It will be rigorous and hard work will be required. ICAEW is expecting you to attend all days of training and be prepared to do the home study that will be given. Please note:

• 18 days of training between May and September plus 2 days of the actual exams (November) at a central location in each city.
• Training in blocks of 3 days including 1 weekend day in each block.
• All materials from ICAEW will be provided.
• Reports will be given to you on the performance and skill changes evidenced during the course.

Once you have passed these papers, you will be eligible to take the final paper - the Advanced Case Study, which can be taken in July 2014 or November 2014. The cost of this is approximately Rs50,000 for exam entry and the tuition/materials.
